We have just celebrated Valentine’s Day. A day assigned for the expression of love. We have a few other days that have the expression of love attached to them…birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. That gives each of us a few days where we stand a chance to consciously give and receive love. What happens to our experience with love all the other days of the year?
“Over the course of time society has defined the concept of love as being something outside oneself, something demonstrated with gifts, by overextending oneself for the betterment of the other. This ‘outside’ thinking has led man further and further away from itself, from its soul, from its essence…love.
To begin the healing process, the person must once again relate to, become aware of, be conscious of, and grow to, an acceptance of its essence, love. Each person must grow in self-love, not to be seen as selfish, ego or me-centered love, It is in fact just the opposite”. page 2.
The love we are all searching for has been with us since the beginning of ‘time’. We have been carrying it around since the beginning of ‘time’…within. Let the love-fest begin. Give yourself a hug today.
